Primary level education is the first step in making of the character of child. The role of primary education is to ensure broad based learning of the child. This includes development of social, cognitive, cultural, emotional and physical skills. Grades I to V known as PRIMARY includes the following subjects English Language and Literature, II language Kannada [Compulsory] III Language Hindi upto Grade IV, III Language Hindi or Sanskrit from Grade V onwards Mathematics, EVS or Science, Social, Art and Craft, Computer, Physical Education and sport activities. Eligibility for Grade I is 5.5 years to 7 years.
